At Case Western Reserve University, we believe that undergraduate research is essential for preparing students for careers in science, medicine and math.

That's why we offer a wide range of research opportunities through faculty and staff connections, global partnerships and our Undergraduate Research Office, just to name a few.

Take a look at some of the research experiences our students are doing this summer... (and this is just the short list!):

  • Provost Summer Undergraduate Research Grant: CWRU students in the biological, chemistry and social sciences participate in a full-time (10 week) research project.
  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics: Undergrads conduct research related to science, engineering, technology or mathematics and participate in educational seminars throughout the course of the program. They receive mentorship from faculty—including some who are affiliates at Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, the Cleveland Museum of Art and other institutions.
  • Summer Undergraduate Research in Energy and Sustainability: A 10-week program for undergraduates to engage in energy and sustainability research alongside expert faculty. It enhances students' readiness for industry and business, enabling them to make an early impact in their careers.

CWRU is committed to providing you with the best research opportunities from day one—empowering you to excel in your chosen field and make meaningful contributions to the world.
