Let’s play a game: Two truths and a lie about nursing at Case Western Reserve University.
- Our nursing students begin clinical rotations just 3 weeks into their first semester.
- CWRU’s Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing is named after Ohio’s first congresswoman.
- CWRU undergraduate nursing students provide 15,000 service hours in Cleveland Metropolitan School District schools each year.
The lie: #3
Nursing undergrads actually provide 20,000 hours of service to Cleveland schools.
Another truth, for good measure: Our Health Education Campus, a joint project between the university and Cleveland Clinic, is home to students from the dental, nursing and medical schools. The high-tech campus is designed to encourage teamwork among health care disciplines, which, research shows, regularly leads to enhanced patient outcomes. Take a look around.
