Undergraduates pursue research at CWRU

At Case Western Reserve University, research isn’t just for grad students—math, science and pre-med undergrads jump in early and often. Here, hands-on discovery is the norm:

► 99% of math and science students dive into experiential learning
► 94% get involved in research or creative projects
► 64% complete three or more hands-on experiences

That’s how you build real skills and stand out for your next step. CWRU’s Undergraduate Research Office is dedicated to guiding you toward research opportunities, connecting you with mentors, and securing funding for your projects. Each semester, you’ll have the chance to showcase your work at Intersections, our campus-wide undergraduate research poster session.

You don’t have to go far to get started—join research teams with faculty across campus, including at the School of Medicine, or collaborate with world-renowned medical institutions in our neighborhood. Want to take your research global? The Undergraduate Research Office and the Office of Education Abroad can help you explore Research Abroad programs, too.

The results speak for themselves: 97% of our math and science grads are working full time, in grad school or pursuing their passions within six months of graduation.

I can’t wait to see where your curiosity takes you at CWRU—and how far you’ll go from here!
