At Case Western Reserve University, you’ll be part of a new generation of scientists learning through real-world research experiences.

The new 16,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art biology laboratory classrooms and support spaces offer science and pre-medicine students cutting-edge classes, and high-tech and high-touch research opportunities. Laboratory classes grounded in Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CURE) provide an opportunity for students to engage in research as early as their first semester.

State-of-the-art equipment in specialized classrooms includes:

► an advanced microscope facility that includes a confocal microscope
► a teaching instrumentation laboratory
► a dedicated microbiology classroom
► an augmented reality Microsoft HoloLens classroom and computational space
► an aquarium facility for raising aquatic life
► a biology resource room that students can access via keycard on their own time
