How a CWRU education makes business run more smoothly

David Yeu, CEO of YeuPatch, pitching to competition judges

David Yeu, a 2016 alum of Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management knows well what it takes to minimize those bumps in the road. David is the founder and CEO of Yeu Patch, which manufactures and sells the Pothole Pillow, a gel-like substance that reduces the shock of thumping over potholes.

David says his CWRU education prepared him for the journey of running a startup.

“Despite majoring in accounting, I've needed sales, marketing and finance to get my product to market and raise funds. Despite being a business major, I've formulated compounds, engineered product designs and even wrote a patent. The range of classes I took at CWRU gave me the basis I needed,” he says.
