Did you know that 86% of Case Western Reserve University undergraduate students participate in research?

Students can earn funding from our Support of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors (SOURCE) office to study topics of their own. Many work in labs with our faculty, in any of our three major hospitals (Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center) within walking distance of our campus, or even across the country and around the world.

As a result, CWRU is a research powerhouse:

  • Home to 16 Nobel Laureates
  • 18th in the world for contributions to innovation (Nature Index Innovation)
  • 16th among private research universities receiving federal research funding (National Science Foundation Survey)

That boils down to one thing: One enormous research institution that is eager for your contributions. Make your mark in the sciences.
