OUR LEARNING COMMUNITY

Case Western Reserve University is located in the center of University Circle, home to some of the finest intellectual, scientific, and cultural institutions in the United States. No other city in the nation has such a diverse concentration of institutions in such proximity: 50 in one square mile. Click here for a Campus Map.

Many of these institutions, including the Natural History Museum, Western Reserve Historical Society, Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland Institute of Art, and Severance Hall, home of the Cleveland Orchestra, are only a few steps away and share curricula and activities with us. Our students cross register for courses and undertake internships at many of these same institutions.

Ten minutes away by car, or a few minutes and only $1.50 on the Rapid Transit train from campus, downtown Cleveland offers many opportunities for students to apply what they learn in the classroom to practical settings, including Fortune 500 companies, local corporations, government offices, health care organizations, and cultural institutions. Career and recruiting events occur on campus throughout the year, and a wide variety of volunteer and internship possibilities abound.
