The opening of the Health Education Campus of Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic in 2019 set the stage for more interdisciplinary collaboration on campus and improved access to healthcare in the Cleveland community. This is especially evident in the campus’ Dental Clinic, housed in a three-story, 132,000-square-foot space designed by architects from DLR Group | Westlake Reed Leskosky. Each year, students and faculty provide treatment to about 19,000 patients, 11,000 of whom are residents of Cleveland. The clinic accepts Medicaid, and charges rates about 40 to 60 percent lower than those of traditional dental offices.
