Tilles-Weidenthal Professorship in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Research, Department of Neurosciences, School of Medicine
The Cleveland Neuro Collective is led by Dr. Congrong "Ron" Yu. Dr. Yu earned his double B.S. in biology and physics from Tsinghua University. He then earned hid Ph.D. in molecular, cellular, and biophysical studies from Columbia University in Lorna Role's lab, where he studied nicotinic receptor ion channels. His lab utilizes molecular genetics, electrophysiology and optical imaging to study the neural circuitry involved in olfaction. Dr. Yu is passionate about translational neuroscience research and training the next generation of researchers.
