What to Expect

In 17 months, you’ll complete 35 credit hours through our hybrid on-site and online program.

Designed to help you develop organizational excellence and effective team relationships, our classes are taught by internationally recognized faculty—thought leaders who pioneered the influential concepts of:

  • Appreciative Inquiry,
  • Emotionally Intelligent Leadership,
  • Coaching with Compassion,
  • Inclusive Leadership,
  • Flourishing Enterprises,
  • Positive Impact Change Interventions,
  • Team Effectiveness and
  • Business as an Agent of World Benefit.

The Weatherhead School’s MPOD is one of only a few master's programs that emphasize strength-based approaches to organization development, change management and leadership.

Looking back, my MPOD degree at CWRU represents a new holistic perspective on business in the world and how we need to think about global issues in the 21st century. It was an amazing education, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity and experience of the program

Led by world-class leaders in organizational development, our program offers individual field projects for expertise in your choice of three thematic areas: leadership, team and interpersonal effectiveness, or organizational development and systematic change.

You’ll partner with faculty to design and implement these self-initiated, self-paced projects, perform real-world challenges and participate in practicums with actual clients in the field.
