Commitment to the Community
At Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, “Commitment to the Community” is more than a phrase: it's a guiding principle at the core of every outreach opportunity. Whether the faculty are working with local governments to improve public health policy, or students are volunteering their time at free health fairs, every member of the School of Medicine team is always focused on improving the health of their neighbors across Northeast Ohio.
There is no denying that some of Cleveland's current health statistics need improvement, but by directly collaborating with valuable affiliates, civic institutions, and members of local neighborhoods, the School of Medicine will continue to be a force for positive change in this community. This ongoing commitment also provides an opportunity for students to learn widely applicable solutions to real-world problems and to actively engage with people right here in their own backyard.
