This year's set of talks and posters are sure to contribute to engaging discussions within the field of structural biology while also shedding light on recent developments in ongoing research.  The Keynote Talk will be delivered by Nancy Carrasco, M.D., from Vanderbilt University! Dr. Carrasco is the Chair of Vanderbilt University's Molecular Physiology and Biophysics Department as well as the university's Joe C. Davis Chair in Biomedical Science.  Her research focuses on the structure, function, and regulation of the sodium/iodide symporter (NIS) and its role in physiology and pathophysiology (read more at https://www.nasonline.org/member-directory/members/20035867.html). Dr. Carrasco's research group initially cloned and extensively characterized the sodium/iodide symporter at the molecular level! We appreciate Dr. Carrasco visiting the Case Western community and eagerly look forward to her Keynote Talk! Additionally, we are offering symposium participants the chance to experience the Microsoft HoloLens (augmented reality (AR)/mixed reality (MR)) that is currently being integrated into structural biology research/education. There will be opportunities throughout the day to observe and interact with various molecules and protein structures as a result of the captivating immersion provided by this innovative AR/MR technology.  We encourage you all to attend this stimulating CCMSB community event! Please RSVP by 4/12 and provide the information requested below to help us organize this year's Annual Symposium of the Cleveland Center For Membrane and Structural Biology!
