Amanda Brower

Assistant Director for Alumni and Communications - Health Sciences

Amanda brings a wealth of experience to health science communications. As the assistant director of alumni and communications for health sciences, she manages development and alumni communications for the schools of medicine, dental medicine, and nursing. Previously, she spearheaded communications at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, collaborating closely with Dean Stan Gerson and the leadership team to amplify through communications the high impact work of its students and faculty.

Prior to joining Case Western Reserve University starting in late 2021, Amanda spent eight years at the University of Minnesota Medical School. There, she not only managed communications but also wore many hats, from overseeing content development for website revamps to orchestrating marketing and event management for high-visible lectures like Blue Zones author Dan Buettner. Additionally, she directed marketing and communications for the inaugural NIH-funded center focused on the health of African American men, led by Selwyn Vickers, MD. Her contributions were recognized with a communicators award for her work on the Department of Surgery's 110th-anniversary book and video.

Amanda is a proud mother of three college-aged (and starting launch) sons and resides in Shaker Heights with her husband and two rescue dogs.
