Carey (they/she) has been with Case Western Reserve since 2021, telling stories that demonstrate the value of a CWRU education and far-reaching impact of donor support. They collaborate closely with development and alumni relations staff to craft strategic campaigns across digital and print mediums that strengthen affinity within the university community.
After earning their bachelor’s in viola performance from Rice University and master’s from Cleveland Institute of Music, Carey decided to pursue their passion for communications. They are expected to earn a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from CWRU’s Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences in 2024. Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, Carey is happy to call Cleveland home, and enjoys crafting, exploring the city’s breweries and coffee shops with friends, and the Metroparks with her dog (the cat prefers to stay at home).
