At Case Western Reserve University—located in Cleveland, Ohio’s University Circle neighborhood, with 50+ cultural, educational and medical institutions—you’ll experience the vibrancy of the humanities and benefit from the far-reaching collaborations of a top-tier research university.

Case Western Reserve guides those interested in the humanities, performing arts and social sciences in focusing their goals and maximizing their time and talent, and they graduate as accomplished, problem-solving professionals.

CWRU’s Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities, through its Humanities@Work program, connects undergraduates to the region's network of cultural institutions, businesses, hospitals and nonprofits. You will be able to pursue hands-on experiences so you can build your skills (and your network and your resume).

Recent internships through Humanities@Work include:

► Developing public-facing communication strategies and educational materials for the City of Cleveland’s Climate Action Plan

► Designing and implementing a career mentorship program connecting international students with professionals for Global Cleveland

► Assisting the Cleveland International Film Festival education director with programs designed for a partnership with two youth organizations

► Creating, building and installing an exhibition for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

► Researching community organizations to identify opportunities to expand The Cleveland Orchestra’s reach to underrepresented communities

When you study the humanities, performing arts and social sciences at CWRU, you will craft a resume full of achievements—research, in-the-field professional experiences and expansive scholarship. Whether your post-CWRU plans point to a graduate or professional school or straight to your career, you can expect attention from top programs and leading organizations.
