Case Western Reserve University arts, humanities, social sciences and economics students take part in hands-on learning opportunities early and often.
99% of humanities students participate in experiential learning.
What kind of experience will you get? Here’s what some current CWRU students have been doing:
► Aja Leatherwood, who is studying communication sciences and psychology, worked on two research projects related to Graves’ disease at the Mayo Clinic.
► Susie Kim, who is studying English and French, completed an internship with the publishing company Grove Atlantic, Inc.
► Nandana Ahuja, who is studying history and philosophy of science, completed a thesis analyzing the accuracy of modern labeling of certain luminaries, such as da Vinci and Newton, as members of the queer community in the search for representation.
► Emese Toth, who is studying art history and international studies, spent a spring break in Poland as part of the “Invisible Groups in New Poland” program.
Undergraduates studying the arts, humanities, social sciences and economics are supported in their hands-on learning through the Baker-Nord Scholars Program, Humanities@Work, the Undergraduate Research Office and the Office of Education Abroad.
