You can get involved—as early as your first semester—at facilities including Cleveland Clinic (the #2 hospital in the world, according to Newsweek), University Hospitals (a nationally ranked biomedical research center), Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center (the third-largest VA hospital in the country) and MetroHealth Medical Center (a Level 1 trauma center with a burn unit).
  • Want to study in state-of-the-art facilities? Case Western Reserve’s new biology lab is 16,000 square feet of high-tech and high-touch classrooms, labs and equipment, offering students cutting-edge learning opportunities.
  • Want to measure and analyze DNA, RNA, proteins and live cells? bio[box] is a molecular biology makerspace with advanced tools and instrumentation to facilitate collaborative learning and research.
  • Want to build something new? Sears think[box] is the largest open-access makerspace and innovation center at any university in the United States—50,000 square feet and seven stories of learning, experimentation and advising.
  • Want to learn in the field—literally? University Farm is a 400-acre property featuring forests, ravines, waterfalls, meadows, ponds and a self-contained natural watershed. It’s also a field station.
