Research Areas in a Nutshell
Our research group employs interdisciplinary approaches spanning analytical, physical, organic, computational, biological, and photochemical sciences to design and investigate small organic molecules. Student researchers elucidate the electronic relaxation pathways that determine molecular photophysical and photochemical behavior and apply these fundamental insights toward the development of therapeutic, energy, and bioimaging technologies. This training environment provides students with broad expertise in molecular design, spectroscopy, photonics, photochemistry, and chemical biology.
