This convocation of leaders from the cutting edge of art, technology, cognitive science, museums and education features a public keynote lecture by cognitive scientist Merlin Donald, Ph.D. and a panel discussion with artist Lynn Hershman Leeson and leaders in the technology, museum and education fields on January 19. An in-depth interdisciplinary discussion and series of thought sessions/ workshops follows on January 20. This day-long session for key professionals from around the country will explore how recent developments in the arts and the cognitive sciences can inform how we apply technology to communication, learning, and creative expression.
This event will be held in conjunction with the opening of a major exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland titled All Digital, featuring installations by 8 pioneering artists working in new media, and takes exhibition as a catalyst and platform from which to explore the fertile intersection of art, technology and cognitive science.
