The Fence

A 6-foot-high fence once served as the line of demarcation between STEM-focused Case School of Applied Science and liberal arts leader Western Reserve University. It stood roughly between Adelbert Main, now Adelbert Hall, and the Case School of Applied Science building.

The symbolic dismantling of the structure in 1948 by Case President T. Keith Glennan shortly after his appointment to the position would coincide with his mission to integrate more humanities education into engineering curricula.
