Restorative Internship Program

The Restorative Internship Program provides 12 months of training in clinical and didactic restorative and implant dentistry. This is a non-accredited internship. The program is sponsored by the AEGD department and is directed by the Chairman of the Department. The internship is considered a full-time program of study due to the combination of didactic and clinical practical hours. This program is not eligible for financial aid.

The clinical component consists of a laboratory portion and clinical portion. The clinical portion consists of observing and assisting AEGD residents during their clinical duty and improving their hand skills through assigned exercises on dental manikins.

The intern’s progress will be evaluated quarterly by an assigned mentor. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, the intern will receive a certificate of completion.
