Master the Fundamentals of Computer Science Within a Liberal Arts Education
Degree: Bachelor of Arts
Major: Computer Science
At Case School of Engineering, we want to teach—and learn from—students with a wide range of interests. Our Bachelor of Arts program provides a more expansive education by combining a liberal arts education with a focus in computer science.
Designed for flexibility, the program makes it easy to pursue a second major or multiple minors—allowing you to tailor your academic path and explore the many directions computer science can take you.
You’ll build essential computing skills while developing the critical thinking and communication abilities valued by employers and graduate programs. With demand for computer science expertise continuing to grow, this degree prepares you to apply your skills across disciplines—all within four years.
Both the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programs share the same core computer science courses. The difference lies in the electives: BA students complete fewer required technical courses and have greater freedom to explore interests beyond computer science, while BS students take more courses in computer science, mathematics, engineering, and the natural sciences.
