Focusing on sensor medicine: using implantable sensors to refine treatment and restore lost function. By combining sensors with existing and new neuromodulation treatments, bodily functions may be restored in a closed-loop, adaptive fashion.
Other interests include developing integrated circuits for unique applications, ranging from cardiovascular medicine to hypersonic and aerospace experiments.
