Student Opportunities

The classroom is just the beginning. Nearly all of our students at Case School of Engineering—practically 99 percent—participate in some form of experiential learning during their time at Case Western Reserve. From joining any of our 25 dynamic student organizations to making discoveries in research jobs both on and off campus to studying abroad, opportunities abound for you to connect with your classmates, mentors and friends on campus and around the world.

Student Opportunities

Case School of Engineering provides students with a community full of opportunities. Students can become part of on-campus student chapters of national organizations.

  • The Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world's largest technical professional society and is dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.
  • The Association for Computing Machinery promotes the awareness and understanding of current computer technology and offers routes of exploration into these subjects in fun and interesting ways.
  • Our Women in Tech program educates woman-identifying leaders in technology.
  • The Case Esports Club brings together casual and competitive gamers to build community through gaming. The club competes in national tournaments, hosts campus events, and regularly meets in the Kevin Kranzusch Gaming, Simulation and Visualization Lab—equipped with high-performance Alienware PCs and VR capabilities.
