Jason joined the Office of Investments in 2002 and has been director of marketable investments since 2006. His work focuses on hedge funds, fixed income and public equity, including sourcing potential funds and managers, evaluating current investment advisors, constructing portfolios, monitoring market conditions and participating in all aspects of the investment decision process. He is also the portfolio manager of the university’s $150 million defined-benefit pension assets and serves on the Retirement Oversight Committee.
He has prior experience in wealth management with Chess Financial Corporation of Cleveland and in mutual fund pricing with State Street Corporation of Boston. Jason has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
