Investing in Retirement
The Retirement Oversight Committee has responsibility for all employee retirement plans. Its members include human resources, finance and investment staff members, as well as a participant representative. It convenes at least quarterly to monitor administrative, investment and regulatory matters for all retirement plans.
The Office of Investments representatives on the Retirement Oversight Committee source potential investment funds suitable for the plans, perform due diligence and recommend specific investments for the committee’s final approval. The investment staff also provides ongoing due diligence for all investment products used by the retirement plans.
Plan B’s portfolio investment objective is to ensure that the plan’s investment performance contributes to the plan’s obligations to all participants.
Plans A and C are composed of a variety of mutual funds that provide participants with the ability to construct and diversify their own retirement savings portfolios. The options are designed to provide choices suitable for active and retired participants. Investor education and investment advisory services are available free of charge to all active and retired participants.
