1,500 kids in Cleveland are being poisoned a year, some in 'lead safe' homes

WEWSRobert Fischer, the Grace Longwell Coyle Professor in Civil Society and director of the Center on Poverty and Community Development, emphasized the long-term impacts of lead poisoning on children, explaining that his research highlights the urgent need for comprehensive solutions in Cleveland.

“We saw those lead-poisoned kids...show up more frequently in child welfare services, juvenile justice, homeless services, and adult jail,” he said.
