First-year sprinter Gianna Phipps of the Case Western Reserve University women's track and field team was selected to the field of competitors for the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, the organization announced on Sunday night.

Behind an all-around day from first-year pitcher/outfielder Camryn Mclelland, the 20th-ranked Case Western Reserve University softball team won both of its games on Sunday at Hancock Park in Clermont, Florida, to begin THE Spring Games, defeating Lake Forest College 4-0 and Alfred University 9-4.

The 16th-ranked Case Western Reserve University Spartans overcame an early four-run deficit to take a late-inning lead, but it ultimately was not enough, as the Swarthmore College Garnet tied the game in the bottom of the ninth and won it on a walk off in the bottom of the 11th, 7-6, at the Spartan Southern Classic in Lexington, South Carolina, on Sunday afternoon.

The Case Western Reserve University baseball team, ranked 16th in Division III, opened play at the Spartan Southern Classic with a split of a pair of games against Swarthmore College, falling 3-2 on a walk-off in the second game of the day, before coming back to win the late affair 12-7, at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium in Lexington, South Carolina.
