1. What initially drew you to CWRU?

I have very strong ties to the city of Cleveland as both my parents grew up here, and my siblings and I were all born here. My family was already very familiar with the excellence of CWRU, and only assumed it extended well into the Dental School as well. The robust pre-clinical and clinical curriculum as well as the well rounded patient care experiences are what helped make the decision to come to CWRU SODM so easy.

2. What course or campus experience shaped your education most?

From the very beginning of dental school, I sought opportunities to get involved and make a meaningful impact. During my first year, I ran for and was elected class president, and I have remained actively involved in the student council ever since.

This experience in dental school provided me with so many opportunities to work with the great mentors we have in our faculty and administration. It also allowed me to become very close with my classmates and our peers in the other classes as well. This helped shape my leadership skills which has helped me with my patient care skills tremendously.

3. What is your favorite memory as a student at CWRU?

The last four years were filled with pivotal moments in my life and career all contributing to some great memories. From cadaver lab learning the intricacies of head and neck anatomy, to the Browns stadium cheering on the best team in football. My time at CWRU was surrounded with some great friends and mentors that I will cherish forever.

4. What’s next for you after graduation?

I am moving to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to start an oral surgery internship at The University of North Carolina.

5. What advice would you give to new students in your program?

Take it day by day, be sure to celebrate the successes, and learn from the struggles. You are here to become a great dentist, but don't forget to keep having fun with the group of people you will be surrounded by!
