Administrative Professionals Network conference: “The Skilled Admin”

The Administrative Professionals Network (APN) will host its third annual professional development conference on Monday, May 7, from 7:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center, ballrooms A and B. The conference, titled “The Skilled Admin,” is designed to provide a focused learning and networking venue to support the ongoing development of Case Western Reserve University administrative professionals. Registration is open through April 27. The cost to attend is $25. Attendees are encouraged to bring their mobile devices and/or laptops to fully engage in this highly interactive conference.

Event details

The keynote and workshop speaker will be Corinne Hoisington, a professor of information systems technology at Central Virginia Community College who has more than 25 years of teaching and IT consulting experience. Based on feedback from previous conferences, this year’s event will provide the opportunity to take away tangible quantitative skills: The keynote will speak to the future of technology for administrative professionals along with a workshop on virtual tools. There also will be two additional workshops: Professional Business Writing Skills and Google Applications. The ultimate goal of this conference—and any programming offered by the APN—is to foster relationships among members of the campus community to build an environment of inclusion, continuous growth and opportunity.
