Apply for a fellowship at CWRU's letterpress studio
STORY BY: EDITORIAL STAFF
Are you curious about language and enjoy working with your hands? Want to learn a new technical skill that is also a creative art – and get paid? Join a small, devoted staff of faculty and students and get inky in the New Gutenberg Annex, CWRU’s very own letterpress studio. The NGA contains presses for printing chapbooks and broadsides; a variety of metal and wood type in Latin and Hebrew; and all the necessary supplies for producing letterpress prints. NGA Hebrew Fellows will be trained to work on press and assist faculty and other students with course work and extracurricular projects. You will also learn to work independently and create your own original prints. No previous experience or language requirement.
Time commitment: At least six hours per week.
Fall Stipend: $2500 Application deadline: September 12th, 2025
