Interested in inspiring the next generation of engineers?
The Case Western Reserve University chapter of CurioLab—a nonprofit organization that provides hands-on learning experiences for students grades 6 to 12—is recruiting undergraduate and graduate students to serve as junior mentors and senior instructors.
CurioLab runs weekly, hands-on engineering sessions at Sears think[box], where mentors work with middle and high school students from the Cleveland area. Coding and CAD based projects will be completed in small groups throughout the semester.
In addition to a knowledge of circuitry, ideal candidates include those with experience in:
- Program software such as Arduino, JavaScript and Python; and
- Computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D printing.
Applications are due Sunday, Sept. 7, at 11:59 p.m.
