Over the course of three weeks during the summer, students will have an opportunity to get to know Cuba and get closer to its people, its culture and history.
Damaris Punales-Alpizar, associate professor of Spanish, will lead “The Cuban Experience.”
Students will take classes in Matanzas and Havana and visit historical landmarks, museums and cultural centers, such as Arts Museum, Hemingway House, Trinidad City and University of Havana.
In addition to classes, students will attend talks and conferences by Cuban scholars and will participate in workshops and dance classes.
Through “The Cuban Experience” study abroad course, students will taking classes in Matanzas and Havana and visiting historical landmarks, museums, and cultural centers, such as Arts Museum, Hemingway House, Trinidad City, University of Havana. Besides classes, students will attend talks and conferences by Cuban scholars and will participate in workshops and dance classes.
The program will run July 8–29.
