Music's Jessica Gallagher-Steuver announces inaugural publication of Journal of Queer Choral Studies
Jessica Gallagher-Steuver, PhD (CWR ’25; music education) part-time lecturer in Case Western Reserve University's Department of Music, announced the inaugural publication of the peer-reviewed, open-access Journal of Queer Choral Studies. Gallagher-Steuver serves as founding editor-in-chief of the publication and is supported by GALA Choruses.
Inspired by Gallagher-Steuver’s dissertation research, this issue features:
- Scholarship regarding the history of queer choruses, sustainability and archival efforts of queer choruses; and
- Practical applications for those in the music education profession.
Submissions are being accepted for the second issue now through June 1.
