Jacqueline Nanfito, associate professor of Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, received accolades for her translation of acclaimed Chilean-Jewish poet Marjorie Agosin from The Poetry Foundation on Oct. 6.
The foundation chose one of the poems translated by Nanfito for the bilingual edition of The White Islands/Las Islas Blancas, published last year by the prestigious University of Chicago's Swan Isle Press.
