Psychiatric Times: Daniel Flannery, director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, explained why he believes Americans’ easy access to guns is a key factor in the nation’s problem with gun violence and mass shootings. “It’s way easier to get a handgun than it is to do just about anything else in this country…our background check is woefully inadequate,” he said.
