Begun Center’s Daniel Flannery participates in “Community Safety Challenges, Oversight and Reforms” forum

Earlier this year, Daniel Flannery, director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, participated in a forum titled “Community Safety Challenges, Oversight and Reforms.” Flannery was joined by City of Shaker Heights Mayor David Weiss and Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Cuyahoga County's Carole Ballard.

Speakers explored issues surrounding defunding the police, keeping people out of jail, and defusing low-level misdemeanors.
