Police in Cleveland take on role of social first responder
ABC News 5 Cleveland: Mark I. Singer, the Leonard W. Mayo Professor in Family and Child Welfare and deputy director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, explained a new intervention program to stem youth violence by giving police officers tools to refer families in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood to a social service organization.
