Police in Cleveland take on role of social first responder

Mayo Professor in Family and Child Welfare and deputy director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, explained a new intervention program to stem youth violence by giving police officers tools to refer families in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood to a social service organization.
