The Case Comprehensive Cancer Center and National Center for Regenerative Medicine will host the third Cancer Stem Cell Conference (CSC), featuring renowned thought leaders in the field of cancer stem cell research. The three-day summit includes keynote presentations from a variety of areas within the field of cancer stem cell research, as well as opportunities to network with scientists and clinicians advancing cancer stem cell research and therapeutic applications. CSC will take place from Monday, Aug. 6, through Wednesday, Aug. 8 at various campus locations.
Events at the conference include:
- A career development workshop for junior faculty and trainees;
- A meet the editors session with Natalie Cain (Cell Reports), Mark Landis (Cancer Discovery) and Teodoro Pulvirenti (Journal of Experimental Medicine);
- A National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant discussion with Michael Graham Espey (National Cancer Institute) and Michelle McGuirl (NIH); and
- Keynote addresses from Norman E. Sharpless (National Cancer Institute), John S. Condeelis (Albert Einstein Cancer Center), Irving Weissman (Stanford Cancer Center) and Zena Werb (University of California, San Francisco).
