Celebrate the Class of 2026 at university-wide commencement festivities May 13
Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to help celebrate the Class of 2026 and make the bicentennial year commencement festivities a success.
University-wide commencement ceremonies will take place Wednesday, May 13, followed by school diploma ceremonies May 15–17. Details for each school’s commencement ceremonies can be found on the commencement website.
Clap out
Cheer for graduates as they make their way to the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center for commencement convocation. Beginning at 3 p.m., graduates will begin their path through Case Quad, starting near Adelbert Hall.
Members of the community are asked to don their CWRU Blue, applaud the graduates, and show their support. Those attending should plan to be in place on the Case Quad by 2:45 p.m. As President Kaler noted in a message last week, supervisors should plan ahead so those who wish to participate are able to do so, including both exempt and non-exempt staff. Faculty who wish to participate in the procession must register (regalia is required).
Commencement convocation
Following the clap out, faculty, staff and postdocs are invited to follow the graduates to attend the commencement convocation at 3:30 p.m.. This year’s commencement speaker is Rebecca Liebert, president and CEO of The Lubrizol Corp. All who are planning to attend convocation must register to attend.
Spartan Send-off
Immediately following the convocation, attendees are invited to gather on Van Horn Field outside Veale Center for food, music and activities.
