CUSLI Celebrates 50 Years of Impact in Washington, D.C.
The Canada-United States Law Institute (CUSLI) marked its 50th Anniversary with a highly successful conference in Washington, D.C., bringing together legal scholars, practitioners, policymakers, alumni and friends to explore issues shaping the future of the U.S.-Canada relationship.
The milestone event highlighted five decades of cross-border collaboration and dialogue since CUSLI was founded by the late Sidney Picker. Conference attendees enjoyed thought-provoking discussions and meaningful networking opportunities throughout the program.
The celebration concluded with a special reception hosted by the Canadian Embassy on its rooftop overlooking the nation’s capital, providing a memorable setting to commemorate the Institute’s legacy and future.
Among those in attendance were numerous Case Western Reserve University School of Law alumni, as well as Jane Picker, whose late husband Sidney founded CUSLI 50 years ago. Her presence served as a poignant reminder of the vision and dedication that established the Institute and continue to guide its mission today.
Five decades after its founding, CUSLI remains a vibrant and influential forum for advancing understanding and cooperation between Canada and the United States, a lasting testament to Sidney Picker’s extraordinary legacy.
