Inspirit, a startup team composed of Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Institute of Art students, won the Startup Weekend Cleveland with their idea for a real-time, hydration-monitoring device. The monitor intends to improve quality of life for the elderly and reduce nursing home negligence.
The student team is made up of:
- Siddhartha Sen, an MBA student at the Weatherhead School of Management;
- Shravan Khare, an MBA student at the Weatherhead School of Management and an electrical engineer;
- Thomas Thornton, an industrial designer, biomedical artist and student at the Cleveland Institute of Art; and
- Steve Aviton, an industrial designer and student at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
