Case Western Reserve University Motorsports' vehicle placed first place overall out of more than 100 teams at the Baja SAE New York competition.

Throughout the event, the team’s vehicle, SR26, was tested in four dynamic timed events, as well as in the ultimate challenge: the four‑hour wheel‑to‑wheel endurance race. This race featured numerous obstacles, such as pits, jumps, hills and rock crawls.

The CWRU Baja team placed third in the endurance race and second in the suspension event.

In addition to the dynamic events, the team also competed in static events that highlighted their design cycle and iterative engineering process throughout the season. The team earned fourth place in the design presentation.

This win at Baja SAE New York represents the culmination of months of hard work by the 80+ active members of the CWRU Baja team and would not have been possible without the generous support of the team’s sponsors, the university and faculty.
