Case Western Reserve University to open center to create cartilage with $6.7 million grant The Plain Dealer: Case Western Reserve University received a five-year, $6.7 million grant to establish the Center for Multimodal Evaluation of Engineered Cartilage. The center will be aimed at creating cartilage to be implanted in knees and other joints, with the potential to replace prostheses.
