CWRU student teams win first and second place at medical innovation competition

Two teams of Case Western Reserve University students were the top two competitors in the Collegiate Division at the second annual Medical Capital Innovation Competition. RADIOME, a startup which seeks to predict whether neoadjuvant chemotherapy will benefit cancer patients to reduce ineffective treatment and surgery, won first place and $6,000. InSpirit, a team developing a wristband that monitors hydration levels and is particularly suited to elderly patients in nursing homes, took second place and $3,000. See more information.
