Natasha Rouse (PhD candidate, mechanical engineering) and Molly Egan (fourth-year undergraduate student, chemical engineering) from the ThinkEnergy Fellows group, e-Gora, led their team to first place in an international pitch competition called "Universities for SDG Goal 13 - Climate Action.” This competition is held by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and sponsored by Siemens Gamesa.

On Sept. 20, the e-Gora team won $10,000 for their business solution to an energy-related challenge. Their project aims to provide a platform that allows users to easily find information about renewable energy projects, specifically those in which they could participate.

CWRU students will be invited to compete in the 2024 competition.
