Youth violence in Cleveland targeted by new group that looks for answers to stem crime NewsNet5: Case Western Reserve University and Partnership for a Safer Cleveland received a $200,000 grant from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to develop crime-fighting organizations to help curb teenage crime. “I don’t think you can arrest your way out of the problem,” said Dan Flannery, the Dr. Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Professor. “We know that as kids get older, having an adult that cares about them, that is available to them, that tells them what they expect, is important.”
