Kenneth Chance, dean of the School of Dental Medicine, has appointed Hussein Assaf as director of Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD).
Assaf returned to Cleveland in 1996 to join the School of Dental Medicine as an assistant professor in the Department of Comprehensive Care, where he is now an associate professor.
In addition, he is active in organized dentistry, having just completed his service on the board of the Greater Cleveland Dental Society. A house delegate of the Ohio Dental Association, Assaf is also a consultant to Commission on Dental Accreditation. He continues to see patients in the CWRU Faculty Dental Practice.
Assaf succeeds Fady Faddoul, who has been appointed chair of the Department of Comprehensive Care.
