The Department of Art and Art History hosted a meeting on "Human Centered Design and the Accessible Physical Environment" for 10 international visitors May 10 in the Art Studio.
The program was sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the Cleveland Council on World Affairs and featured a lecture from Sally Levine, a part-time lecturer, detailing the history of accessibility and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The group then discussed the progress on and attitudes toward accessible design in their respective countries, including India, Rwanda and Ghana.
