Doctor of Management programs celebrates 30th anniversary
A memorable time was had by all
Weatherhead School of Management proudly celebrated the 30th anniversary of its Doctor of Management programs. This was a milestone that brought together more than 100 alumni, faculty, students, and friends from across the country and around the globe to participate in the festivities.
The celebration weekend offered a fascinating and invigorating blend of reflection, reconnection, and renewed inspiration as the DM program alumni honored three decades of scholarly inquiry, professional impact, and continued lifelong learning.
The reunion experience featured panel discussions with more than 20 DBA and PhD alumni, representing cohorts from the program’s earliest years to its most recent. Panels explored a wide range of topics, including global politics, the impact of AI, career pathways, and the influence of research on practice by showcasing how the program has shaped careers in teaching, research, consulting, and managerial leadership across industries.
Program Directors and faculty highlighted significant moments through the years and the life-changing impact of the program’s evolution. Together, the alumni and faculty presentations underscored the growing importance of practitioner-scholarship. The program has championed this approach for three decades by addressing today’s increasingly complex global organizational challenges.
The most memorable moments came from the continued and growing sense of community. Friends were reunited, new connections formed, and stories shared about the program's transformative experiences in and outside the classroom, and beyond the classroom. The event reaffirmed what makes the program so distinct: it has grown into a vibrant, supportive network of practitioner-scholars committed to advancing knowledge and making a lasting difference in the world. Here's to the next 30 years!
